Comments: My father Ralph Rivera Jr was in the US Army and served in Korea. I think he was a Corporal and was honored with 2 Bronze Medals. He was an engineer was had build a bridge. He had a life long buddy whom he met while serving, his name was Herb Fitzpatrick. That's all I know unfortunately.

Comments: Have an SKS but didn't have a manual, thanks for providing the manual. Pray the younger American citizens will wake up to the cost of freedom. I always try an thank Viet Nam veterans because the nation didn't give them the honor they deserve.

Comments: The SKS web site is a great find for me after conducting a Google search for "SKS rifle, Chinese".
I have owned one of these rifles for many years, buying it new, still in the oil paper box. The manual was mostly in Chinese and virtually useless to me.
What a great job someone did in the description of al of the majore components and operations.
Thank you very much for your good work here.

Comments: Thank you for the information on the SKS. Now I can answer questions for folks I know beyond shooting and clearing.
WTC, no longer used US Navy rating, history: NW, GMT, WT. The "C" stands for Chief (E-7). The rate fell because of the SALT III treaty that removed certain Nuclear Items from the stockpile. Part of the 1,600+/- WT's became GMM (Gunners Mate Missile). I had retired about a year before the change took place.

Comments: My father served in the Marines in Korea and his older brother was a Master Sergant in the Army. They actually met up over there and a week later my uncle was killed. My dad was his body escort home. It effected him the rest of his life.I proudly served in the Navy from '83 to '86. From one swab jockey to another I must say Thanks for your service and your web page.
